Many people skip working out because they claim they are too busy, whether with work or raising a family. It is often true that not everyone can go to the gym several times per week, nor can everyone afford it, yet many people want to be in shape and have a flat stomach in particular. If this describes you, it is a good idea to learn a few abdominal exercises that you can squeeze into your day, no matter how busy it is.
One of the best ways to get some abdominal exercises done is to do a few right when you wake up. If you rarely have extra time in the morning, set your alarm five minutes earlier than usual so you can do some workouts to get flatter abdominals. You can also make time by eating your breakfast or drinking your coffee in the car on the way to work if you do not do so already, as this can free up a few minutes for abdominal exercises. Working out in the morning is often the best way to start the day since it gives you energy, and it also ensures that no matter how crazy the rest of your day is, you at least got in a few minutes of exercise. Do any moves you want, though the easiest usually involves putting your feet under the bed and doing as many crunches as possible in five minutes.
Once you get to work, it probably seems impossible to get in any exercise. However, one workout cannot even be observed by others, and you can multitask by working while you do it. Just suck in your abdominal muscles so they are flexed, and hold this position for as long as possible. This should be for at least thirty seconds at a time. Doing several repetitions of this workout is also helpful if you do not want to keep your abs flexed for too long at a time. Just do this workout whenever you remember.
When you get home from work, you might feel like sitting on the couch and watching television so you can relax, and you can still do that. Just add some abdominal exercises to the commercial breaks. Even just doing some crunches or flexing your abs repeatedly for a couple commercial breaks is better than nothing. This way, you get a chance to relax but you can also fit in some exercise.
Doing these abdominal exercises will not get you the perfect body in a few months, but it is a start to getting a flatter stomach. Performing a few minutes of ab workouts in the morning, at work, and at night for about five minutes each time will result in about 15 minutes of exercise per day. If you combine these moves with a healthy diet and some other exercise interspersed when you have time, you will notice a difference in your body shape.
